I am only not virgin in this one.

The feelings of beinge attached to a country has always being evolving to me but it reached to a love/hate relationship level of an ever so, emotional instability!
I love my country (Iraq) and I hate my country(Iraq), but what I gained of being loose, and my passport was so cheap, is that I became adaptable accepting many entries, giving heads, heads of intellectual drainage, I feel like a hoocker, I can sleep with so many countries as long as they pay good, fondle good!
I am a hoocker, that is why, a person with no country has no dignity and no honour, If I want to get my honour, I shall get back my country, and be tight and not so loose and take any dirty money inside ma...pockets!
Honour shall be Iraq, and whoever rapes her must pay not money but the love and the self-respect she lost inside her heart and soul, and once she restores the love and respect, no more factions fightng but only love is to be flourished!

Bad news dear, it seems you will remain a 'hooker ' for a long long time. Getting Iraq back wont be easy and will take years. Sorry for using the crude expression.

You're very funny! I'm not surprised you have such high standards :)

I think Iraq will have a very good future, if Iraqi bloggers are anything to go by! Hopefully, it won't take you too long to get there.

zmanudtz,

I think what I wrote is a reflection of a momentary feelings I get when I miss Iraq and think of my life and how it would have been without all this destruction that had happened and is happening. I do have a home called Canada :)
But you know what, even here there is some kind of homelessness, you go whereever your job is, and it is amazing how I can actually relate to Canadians that have moved around cz of jobs :)

Programmer craig,

"You're very funny! I'm not surprised you have such high standards :)"

you think that is high standards, and yeah you should not be surprised after all I am from an immigrant background and we fly wherever there are opportunities, sadly!

I do not know much about the Iraqi bloggers, but you know what, how can good people survive all the mess in Iraq, my cousin brought from my uncle who just left Iraq, 3 full papers of the names of murdered profs, how can enlightment survive in Iraq, if the lack of saftey is counter productive to anything that is useful.

Hi Gilgamish,

I think I was talking more about your last post with the "high standards" comment :)

As for the travelling around going wherever the jobs are, I can definately relate to that. I had lived in 6 states and on both coasts of the United States by the time I graduated High School, due to my father (and mother) relocating for jobs. I haven't yet done that as an adult, but honestly I'm considering it right now. Maybe that's just the way things are for a lot of people in the US... and Canada too, I suppose. The workplace has become very mercenary. My grandfather spent his whole career working at one company, but it just isn't like that anymore.

About the Iraqi bloggers... I have a lot of hope because of young Iraqis like Sunshine, Aunt Najma, HNK, Morbid Smile, Attawie... just to name a few! I don't know that many young Americans with so much potential, and I'm constantly amazed they can do so much with their lives despite all the hardships they face in Iraq right now.

Unfortunatly!

Yes, there are great, hardworking Iraqis out there, but their number is shrinking, but even if these peole want to do something, like I said before, their efforts will be limited due to the lack of safety, and security. there are about 300+ Iraqi murdered intellectuals. I mean even if these Iraqis with great potentials in progressing Iraq, want to do something real, they must know that their life is in jeapordy, I may sound cynical, but I think we ilve in a time, if an Iraqi loves Iraq so much, he/she must have the potential as well to sacrifice his/her life, and that is why peole that have weapons or belonging to a certain ideology and/or under any militia are the winning parties in iraq.

enough said.

Gilgamish,

Relating to the homelessness, I tell you what I dont think anyone can relate to Iraqis. This country is all about suffering. Saddam's reign took its toll and when people thought there was hope, the current problems started to happen. People are so desperate, Allah eikhaleech ya Canadians moving cos of jobs, people moved because their name was Ali or Abid Zahra or such. Canadians especially cant relate to Iraqis, they dont even understand the meaning of war or suffering.

On a side note, bloggers can make a difference, only to us dear, the ones living comfortably who spend some time going through the blogs, fooling ourselves that some Iraqis are doing their best and stuff. 99.99999% of Iraqis are doing nothing and myself included. Human selfishness is all to blame bas all I can say is we can hope for the best and that's it.

People from war torn countries can related to each other, I do not find my Sirbean friend that much different than me, we both greyed from an early age. Bas yeah, our predicament is Big and hurtful.

Of course, probably I was trying to find the commonality from a very toned-down perspective at least emotionally..that is why i think i seemed rather insensitive to iraqis, and do not forget i am living in safety 7urgat galbi mu mithil ili ib jawa gloob il 3ira8iyeen bil 3ira8.

Ani ham, and I wish if i can really do something.....any idea?

Really lo I have an idea that can improve the situation of Iraq, I would not spare it.

Bas the problem is not about money or international awareness or anything. Iraq needs good people to build it, it needs honest, decent and caring people who would overlook short term financial benefits for the welfare of Iraq and its people. Where can you find those people? They are there but cant move because if you are good and decent you have no place in Iraq, you will get killed or kidnapped or something. That's how your country values you, very highly indeed.

A very depressing thought but there is always HOPE.
